Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and Clypt (“we”, “us”) covering your use of the Clypt website, apps and API (the “Service”). By creating an account you accept them.

You must be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live. Keep your password private; you are responsible for everything done with your account. One person per account unless you are on a team plan, in which case the owner is responsible for members.

You keep every right to the video you upload and the clips we produce. You grant us only the licence we need to run the Service: to store, transcode, transcribe, analyse and deliver your content back to you and to anyone you choose to share it with. We do not use your content to train models and we do not sell it.

Only upload video you own or have permission to clip. Do not upload content that is unlawful, infringes someone else’s rights, depicts minors sexually, or is intended to harass. We may remove content and close accounts that break these rules. We respond to valid copyright notices sent to legal@clypt.pro and terminate repeat infringers.

To provide the Service we send audio to a speech-to-text provider and transcripts to a large language model provider. They process your content only to return results to us. Our privacy policy names them.

Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. Credits are granted monthly on the schedule shown on the pricing page, roll over only where the plan says so, and have no cash value. Prices exclude taxes. You can cancel any time from Settings; access continues to the end of the paid period. Because credits are consumed the moment a video is analysed, fees for used credits are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.

We keep uploads and rendered clips for the period shown on the pricing page for your plan, after which they are deleted. Download anything you want to keep.

API keys are personal to your account. Do not share them, resell access, or exceed the rate limits we publish. We may throttle or revoke keys that harm the Service.

We aim for high availability but the Service is provided “as is”. We may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice and will refund prepaid, unused periods if we withdraw a paid plan entirely.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You can delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with notice where practical. On termination your content is deleted per section 7.

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Clypt is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions: legal@clypt.pro.
